NEW NBC SHOW THE WANTED TO FUEL PUBLIC FEAR

New show 'The Wanted' is premiering on NBC on Monday, July 20th at 10:00 PM, this 12 x 60 program combines intense action with investigative journalism. The show follows an elite team of operatives from all over the world with the goal of capturing the most heinous war criminals and terrorists – one of which NBC calls “Bin Laden’s financier.” THE WANTED, produced by Charlie Ebersol and Adam Ciralsky, takes viewers around the globe in search of these villains: from Norway, to Iraq, to Australia.

It looks to us that its another way of brainwashing the American public to live in fear. It will just fuel the encouragement to become more racist and prejudice. The US has a new future, a new president, it is a time of change. People need to forget about Terrorists and living in fear.

This show is simply re-igniting issues that should not be brought up to the surface again.

In a July 1st article in the The Hollywood Reporter, former U.S. intelligence official David Crane states: “‘The Wanted’ is about seeking justice for the many victims of terrorism and atrocity around the world.” He says the series will start “an important dialog about war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and international terrorism, as well as the indifference and political cynicism that hampers international criminal law and the quest for justice.”

We should not be opening dialog about international terrorism. Unfortunately the show will put more emphasis on terrorism than on other issues that need to have more light shed on them, for instance human trafficking.
